Purpose: The Episcopal School of Dallas seeks a creative and data-driven Social Media and Content Strategist to join our communication and marketing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive content and social media strategies across various platforms to increase our online presence, engage our diverse audiences, and promote our mission and initiatives across various digital platforms. This role requires a passion for students and education, excellent communication skills, and a keen understanding of digital trends and analytics.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Develop and execute content and social media strategies aligned with the school’s mission, values, and annual goals.
- Create compelling and engaging content, including stories, posts, videos, and graphics, to drive audience engagement and increase brand awareness.
- Manage and oversee all school social media accounts, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Google MyBusiness.
- Collaborate with internal departments, faculty, and student organizations to identify and prioritize impactful storytelling opportunities and ensure alignment with brand guidelines and messaging.
- Stay informed about school news, events, and initiatives to promote and share relevant content with our online community effectively.
- Monitor comments, messages, and inquiries across social media channels in a timely and professional manner.
- Serve as the social media expert and campus advocate for internal and external partners/influencers.
- Maintain Waldo photo management platform.
- Monitor social media trends, tools, and best practices to stay updated on new features and growth opportunities.
- Analyze social media performance metrics and provide regular reports and insights to stakeholders, identifying opportunities for optimization and growth.
- Maintain a weekly content calendar, ensuring strategic and consistent messaging.
- Support the school’s overall communication and marketing goals, collaborate on The Crest school publication, photograph various on-campus activities, and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
- Proven experience with social media strategy and 5 years of experience.
- Creative thinker passionate about innovation and staying ahead of social media trends.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail, accuracy, and storytelling.
- Proficiency in photography, graphic design tools like Canva, and basic video editing tools.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with social media analytics and reporting tools like Sprout Social.
- Collaborative team player who can build relationships and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
