Key Responsibilities
- Systems Administration:

- Install, configure, and manage Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, system updates, patches, and backup management.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot server-related issues, and ensure high availability.
- Assist in virtualization management (Hyper-V, VMware, or other platforms).
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash) to streamline system administration tasks.
- Network Management:
- Configure, monitor, and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, VLAN configurations, and QoS.
- Support and optimize network security solutions, ensuring compliance with best practices.
- Security & Compliance:
- Assist in implementing and maintaining security protocols, including firewalls, endpoint protection, VPNs, and identity management solutions.
- Support security audits, user access controls, and compliance initiatives for IT systems.
- Ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness through proper backup and restoration strategies.
- Support & Collaboration:
- Provide technical support for both network and system-related issues, including occasional Level 1 support for end-users.
- Document IT procedures, system configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Work collaboratively with senior engineers, IT staff, and other departments to support IT infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Certifications:
Required:
- CompTIA Security
- One of the following networking or cloud certifications:
- CompTIA Network
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (or similar Windows Server certification)
Preferred:
- CompTIA Server (equivalent)
- Virtualization (Nutanix, VMware, etc.)
Experience:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in IT system administration, networking, or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Windows Server management (Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP).
- Network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls – Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper, or similar).
- Scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
- Virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware, or similar).
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Scripting & automation skills (PowerShell, Bash) to improve efficiency and system reliability.
- Strong understanding of Windows Server administration and network security best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve technical issues independently.
- Strong communication, documentation skills, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment
