Overview:
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director to help lead their Restructuring & Turnaround Consulting practice. This leadership role is ideal for a strategic thinker with proven experience managing teams, driving business development initiatives, and delivering innovative solutions to clients in financial distress or operational challenges. The Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the growth of their practice while serving as a trusted advisor to C-level executives and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of associates and senior consultants, fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
- Oversee project execution, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, engaging with executive leadership and boards of directors to identify challenges and recommend tailored restructuring and turnaround strategies.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact for critical engagements.
- Lead presentations to clients, creditors, and stakeholders, articulating complex financial and operational strategies effectively.
- Drive business development efforts, including identifying and pursuing new client opportunities, responding to RFPs, and developing thought leadership materials.
- Build relationships with key industry players, including legal advisors, lenders, private equity firms, and investment bankers, to generate new business leads.
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities to elevate the firm’s presence in the market.
- Lead comprehensive financial and operational assessments for distressed organizations, including liquidity analysis, cash flow forecasting, and working capital optimization.
- Develop and implement turnaround strategies, including cost-reduction plans, operational improvements, and strategic pivots.
- Oversee the preparation of financial models, including restructuring plans, liquidation analyses, and distressed M&A scenarios.
- Manage complex creditor negotiations, working to achieve favorable outcomes for clients during debt restructuring or covenant waivers.
- Provide strategic advisory during Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, out-of-court restructurings, and distressed transactions.
- Facilitate communication among stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency throughout the restructuring process.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field; MBA, CFA, or CPA strongly preferred.
- 8–10 years of experience in restructuring, corporate finance, or financial advisory, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated success in managing client engagements, including team oversight and client satisfaction.
- Proven track record in business development, including securing new clients and expanding existing relationships.
- Advanced knowledge of financial modeling, operational assessments, and restructuring strategies.
- Expertise in bankruptcy processes, out-of-court restructuring, distressed M&A, and turnaround management.
