Job Description:
The GBGS Production Technician will be responsible for the technical production of Great Big Game Show components. This role will require flexibility to adapt to a dynamic and evolving production environment. Responsibilities include technical production, inventory management, product preparation, and collaborating with various teams and vendors to ensure the successful production of GBGS items. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to shift between tasks as priorities change and take initiative across different departments as needed.
Hours & Schedule:
- Expected Weekly Hours: 40 - 50
- Travel Expectations: None
- Expected Schedule:
- Office: Monday - Friday (day shift)
- Oncall: No
Job Responsibilities:
- Install and wire various forms of technology into components as they are built
- Follow wiring diagrams and build documents
- Assembling completed components and preparing them for quality control
- Assemble IT / Audio Visual Equipment Racks
- Setup MacOS game computers
- Inventory management: sort inbound inventory into the Kanban System & request replenishments when needed
- Prepare products for quality control, ensuring all components are collected and properly modified or assembled.
- Red-line documentation during production to identify issues, updating Bill of Materials and build documentation when discrepancies arise.
- Work with third-party vendors to facilitate the production and assembly of outsourced components.
- Assist with general administrative tasks as needed, demonstrating a willingness to step in and help in other areas when required.
- Show adaptability in responding to production changes, shifting tasks or focus depending on project needs.
Job Requirements:
- Audio Video experience preferred, but not required
- Low Voltage wiring experience preferred, but not required
- A love for escape rooms and interactive media
- Contagiously positive, can-do attitude
- Loves to “win”
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong communication skills - written, on the phone, in-person
- Experience leading others in an informal structure
- Project management experience
- Proficient at spreadsheets & document creation
- General business acumen
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds individually
- Able to stand, walk, climb ladders, and navigate tight spaces for extended periods of time
- Understanding of production and fabrication processes including CNC, Carpentry, Scenic, Paint, and Electronics Production
- Understanding of architectural floor plans and general construction processes
