Job Title: Lead Metal Fabricator
Job Description: The Lead Metal Fabricator is responsible for fabricating customer-facing products and components (puzzles, clues, environments) that guests around the country will interact with for years to come. The primary focus of this role is performing metal fabrication work in our metal shop. This individual is responsible for coordination with all of our metal vendors to ensure we have what we need to meet our production goals.
As a department lead this person will be responsible for coaching and training team members in TEG processes and procedures while they are assisting in these departments. This person will be directly responsible for assigning and managing the day to day tasks of the Metal Fabrication team and filtering all personnel concerns and issues escalating issues as needed.
Direct Manager: Director of Production
KPIs:
Output - Help TEG meet and beat production goals
Quality - Ensure produced and installed systems function as intended and provide troubleshooting support for systems that have issues.
Cost - Help TEG meet and beat cost targets on produced items
Hours & Schedule:
Expected Weekly Hours: 40 with occasional overtime.
Travel Expectations: Minimal
Expected Schedule: Monday-Friday (exceptions: new store launch, new game installation, emergency maintenance or other emergencies related to your job)
Oncall: No
Job Responsibilities:
- Fabricate and produce game components that meet TEG time, functionality, and quality expectations
- Daily responsibilities will include welding, cutting, grinding, sanding and some minor finishing.
- Maintain accurate entries in Production tracking systems (Quickbase, timesheets, etc.)
- Mentoring colleagues on technique
- Coordination with direct managers and colleagues to ensure material and supplies are procured, received, and available for fabrication
- Occasional support of other functions - CNC, Finishing, Assembly, Logistics, Design
- Contributing to component R&D process, as needed
