Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Care Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting independence. This role is crucial in delivering high-quality care to individuals, including those with developmental disabilities and those requiring hospice care.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
- Help with household tasks such as cooking, laundry, and cleaning to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
- Monitor and document vital signs and report any changes in the client's condition.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist clients with mobility needs, including lifting and transferring as necessary.
- Support clients with developmental disabilities through engaging activities that promote their well-being.
- Administer CPR and first aid when required, ensuring the safety of clients at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home health care or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of medical documentation practices and the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Familiarity with hospice care principles is a plus.
- Ability to lift and assist clients safely while adhering to proper techniques.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor when working with diverse populations.
