Job Summary
We are looking for a Director of International Business Development who will help support in the management of the global business and accelerated growth of the brand. In this role, the Director will partner to strengthen the implementation of the brand’s unique model, while supporting the development of the international strategy of the Brand.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Analysis & Development
- Main point of contact globally for business intelligence and analytics (incl. any data requests from regions)
- Partner with regions to ensure that relevant data is being communicated, providing support to monthly retail reporting
- Lead data analysis and develop retail reports/recommendations (incl. identifying opportunity areas, post mortem analysis of key launches/brand initiatives, product analysis of individual markets, etc.)
- Alongside ED, lead initiatives/deliverables, including budget and LRP progress, senior management presentations, local market visit reports, and others as needed
- Lead Global Assortment Strategy
- Identify areas for improvement in reporting, proactively implement changes. Help create efficiencies, improved processes and new reporting templates to enable critical analysis and strategy planning of the business.
- Act as the Global Lead for price planning and annual price increase process with Corporate Pricing Team
- Oversee the revision of ELC's corporate price increase targets to ensure brand positioning is safeguarded in local markets
- Support product marketing in establishing pricing guidance for new products
- Continuously seek out opportunities to simplify and streamline pricing process
- Work alongside select regions and markets to provide intentional leadership support in making key decisions that impact significant business results.
- Support overseeing key activities of select markets and channels, ensuring alignment with brand model
- Develop Global Guidelines & Best Practices
- Supervise, Coach, and guide International Assistant Manager on key projects and opportunities that support the International business.
- Lead further development of distribution analysis (incl. productivity potential, top distribution ranking, KPI benchmarks etc.)
- Analyze distribution guidelines for existing and new distribution channels of the Brand (incl. criteria for viable POS/cities etc.)
- Conduct post mortum analysis of new retail concepts (e.g. Pop up, Le Labo On Wheels, TR)
- Compile relevant competitive benchmark brands, refine competitive distribution mapping for key markets. Provide actionable insights.
- College degree required
- 8 years of related experience, ideally with background in retail, APAC and Travel Retail
- Strong analytical skills with understanding of financial and sales analytical processes, functions and needs
- Highly developed Excel skills (incl. advanced Excel functions) and PowerPoint skills, with an eye for formatting and presenting information in a digestible way
- Strong proven ability to analyze and synthesize quantitative data, explain analysis and making recommendations
- Superior communication and inter-personal skills to work with and meet the needs of several departments
- Must be comfortable and adaptable to entrepreneurial environment as well as structured, corporate atmosphere
- Be a motivated self-starter, with the ability to work both independently as well as collaboratively with a team-player mindset
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple complex projects in fast-paced environment
