Long Island Based Close Protection Driver
Location: Manhattan and Long Island
Compensation: $50-$60 per hour
Schedule: Every Sat, Sun, Wed, Thurs, and Fri (min 40 hrs)
Overview: A distinguished and discreet Close Protection Driver who lives on Long Island is required for a VIP family based in Manhattan and Long Island, NY. This highly responsible role demands a vigilant professional who prioritizes safety, security, and confidentiality. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless transportation, provide armed security, and maintain the family’s vehicles to impeccable standards. This position requires unwavering commitment, adaptability, and an acute awareness of potential security risks.
Key Responsibilities:
MUST BE ABLE TO WORK WEEKENDS
- Safe and Secure Transport: Transport the Principal, their family, and authorized personnel to various destinations (schools, appointments, events) with unwavering attention to safety and discretion.
- Armed Security: Provide armed protection, remaining alert to potential threats while escorting the family into and out of buildings.
- Route Planning: Proactively plan and adapt routes based on traffic, weather, and security considerations, ensuring punctuality and smooth travel.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the family’s vehicles in pristine condition, performing regular cleaning, inspections, and minor repairs. Coordinate major repairs with the Estate Manager as necessary.
- Expense Tracking: Accurately document and submit records of vehicle-related expenses in compliance with company policies.
- Safety Vigilance: Maintain heightened awareness of road hazards, security risks, and the safety of children and other passengers.
- Support Tasks: Assist with errands, luggage handling, and other tasks as required, always maintaining professionalism and discretion.
- Compliance: Adhere strictly to traffic laws, firearm regulations, and internal protocols to ensure operational excellence.
Requirements:
- Flexibility: Adapt to varying schedules, including extended hours, weekends, and travel across state lines.
- Firearm Licensing: Hold a valid and current firearm license, with the ability to carry during all assignments.

- Knowledge of the New York City and Long Island areas, with an ability to navigate high-traffic zones efficiently.
