JOB SUMMARY :
The Grounds Engineer is responsible for assisting with the maintenance, care, and improvement of the hotel’s outdoor spaces, landscaping, and grounds. This role ensures that all exterior areas, including gardens, walkways, and recreational spaces, are well-maintained, aesthetically pleasing, and safe for guests and staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Maintain hotel landscaping, including mowing, trimming, watering, and fertilizing plants, trees, and lawns.
- Regularly clean, maintain, and balance pool and other waterway water to ensure cleanliness and optimal water quality.
- Perform routine inspections of outdoor areas to identify and address maintenance needs such as debris removal, damaged walkways, and irrigation system repairs.
- Assist in seasonal maintenance tasks such as leaf removal, snow shoveling, and ice management to ensure safe walkways and guest areas.
- Conduct building rounds and take gauge readings; check for potential fire hazards, burnt-out lights, and faulty equipment.
- Operate and maintain groundkeeping tools and equipment, including lawnmowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems.
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to support overall hotel upkeep and address guest concerns regarding outdoor areas.
