The Estates of Perryville is seeking a Social Service Director. The Social Service Director is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall provisions of Social Services in accordance with current Federal, State, and local standards, guidelines and regulations, facility-established policies and procedures, and as directed by the Administrator, to assure that medically related social services are provided to attain or maintain the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident on an individual basis.
Responsibilities of the Social Service Director:
- Maintaining individual contact with residents.
- Participation in resident assessment and care planning to ensure social service needs are met.
- Completing required documentation in the medical chart.
- Manage and direct the Social Services Department, which includes supervision of caseworkers and other social services staff
Qualifications of the Social Service Director:
- Experience as a Social Service Director is required.
- Bachelors Degree required
- Social Service Director certificate is a plus but not mandatory
- Prefer knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid
- Have knowledge of rules, regulations and guidelines governing a nursing home
- Must have the ability to work independently when necessary but also a team player when needed
- Memory/Dementia care training experience preferred
