PT Laundry & Kitchen Associate
Position Summary:
To effectively and efficiently handle the day-to-day operations of laundry and kitchen tasks, from pulling orders, cleaning returned rentals and pulling linens. To assist warehouse and sales team by answering phones, taking reservations, giving quotes, accepting returned rentals and handling general tasks within the showroom and warehouse. Also responsible for ordering linens for Rerent.
Responsibilities:
- Prepping Reservations -
- Checks schedule daily and pulls orders, ensures all items are clean; all parts are included, placed on cart and tagging by customer name
- Check linen reservations daily, places orders with Re-Rentals to A-1 in a timely manner to be sure linens are received prior to reservation date
- Pulls damaged items out of inventory and make appropriate adjustments in the POR system or IRO (Internal Repair System)
- Cleaning -
- Prep dirty dishes by either removing food as needed from china, glassware and flatware.
- Presoak flatware
- Run all dishes, glassware and utensils through dishwasher, hand dry if necessary
- Check for spots or damages
- Count insert instructions, wrap and place back onto shelves in appropriate location in warehouse or showroom
- Count dirty linens and return all Re-rents, prepare bags for returns through UPS
- Clean all fun food machines, punch bowls, fountains, coffeemakers, mirrors, lanterns and insulated food containers, large vases and candlesticks by hand
- Clean chairs and chair pads, check for missing feet and be sure chairs are properly bagged and stacked as needed
- Send reservation reminders every week
- Keep the warehouse and laundry in order. Clean and sweep floors as needed, organize cabinets and counters, keep washer, dryer and dishwasher clean inside and out
- Miscellaneous -
Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift 35-50 lbs.
- Great customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly with courtesy and respect.
- Uses analytical skills to solve problems, make decisions and respond accordingly to the needs of customers, co-workers and vendors.
- Demonstrates the ability to read and communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form at a level equivalent to the specific job responsibilities. Possess’ mathematical aptitude to function at a level equal to the specific job requirements.

- Maintains professional conduct and appearance, and adheres to the company's dress code policy.

- Contributes to safety and security by being aware of policies, and reporting any unsafe conditions or equipment on a timely basis.
- Attends mandatory meetings.
- Follows all safety standards and policies
- Push orders to the dock to greet customers, double check order, and ask if they have any questions
- Answers phone and assists walk-in customers
- Open, price, label incoming orders and put away in either the warehouse, showroom and re-stock room shelves
- Test all electronic/fun food equipment before sending out.
- Perform bi-annual inventory
- Attend mandatory meetings
- Anything else asked by supervisor
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
