Director of Business Development - Contract Logistics (Beverage)
Company : Our client is a 65 year old nationally recognized logistics provider of integrated temperature-controlled logistics services to the food and beverage industry. Their service offerings include warehousing and transportation solutions with multiple locations across the United States.
Location : Remote (New Jersey, Savannah, Philadelphia, Charleston, Baltimore)
Summary : Leads all business development activities as it relates to warehousing & distribution, port drayage, and local / regional trucking opportunities. As the Director of Business Development, you will lead the development and execution of profitable growth strategies to support our continued expansion across New Jersey, Savannah, Philadelphia, Charleston, and Baltimore. In addition, you will maintain a committed focus on driving growth across all lines of business while building strong leverageable relationships to support further growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Identify and develop new customers for our entire suite of services across all geographies.
- Partner with the Chief Commercial Officer to execute an annual sales plan including monthly and annual sales objectives.
- Execute sales plan objectives with all the relevant business units and functional departments of the company.
- Build a pipeline and exceed sales growth goals; work to meet expectations of both Revenue and EBITDA contribution.
- Successfully manage customer needs to meet objectives of the company's overall business plans.
- Use market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies to analyze / evaluate the effectiveness of current sales methods, costs, and results.
