Will report to the Senior Vice President of Transportation.Work with key stakeholders including safety, recruiting, maintenance, finance, and business development to drive service growth and margin improvement.Manage operational KPI’s, costing and optimization.Execute planned growth in existing port drayage.Enforce key metrics to provide visibility into transportation performance.Lead, develop and train transportation and logistics personnel.Participation in key supply chain and industry forums.Develop proposals and build customer solutions.Oversee and ensure transportation related operations comply with rules and regulations for all applicable safety and regulatory agencies.Provide transportation performance reviews and analysis.Monitor and coordinate transportation RFP process.P&L responsibilities for all drayage operations.Responsible for operating efficiencies, revenues, and safety.Execute planned growth in existing port drayage operations as well as new locations.Knowledge of contract terms by customer.Bachelor’s degree, advanced degree preferred.15 years’ experience in Transportation and Logistics.Experience in managing union and non-union labor.Demonstrated proficiency in managing Logistics Operations, in a highly seasonal / variable volume business.Deep knowledge of transportation terms, pricing, network design, and consolidation.Direct experience with TMS and / or other enterprise systems including telematics.Strong analytical skills.Strong communication skills and direct contact with clients.Experience managing 250 power units.Experience with non-asset 3PL / brokerage functions.Compensation : Base Salary - $200K-250KCompany BenefitsSeniority level ExecutiveEmployment type Full-timeJob function Distribution, Supply Chain, and ManagementIndustries Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, and Warehousing#J-18808-Ljbffr
