Position Information Position Title General Chemistry 2024-25 Summer Adjunct Faculty Job Summary We are seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach in-person General Chemistry with lab during summer 2025. The first 5-week summer session (June 23 – July 27) will cover the first half of a year-long General Chemistry course, while the second 5-week summer session (July 28 – August 31) will cover the second half. Experience with student-centered pedagogy is highly desirable. Prior experience teaching STEM fields to diverse and underserved students, including returning adults, is also desirable. The course will be taught in person. Job Expectations
Faculty are generally responsible for evaluating 25 students / quarter. Facultyare also responsible for advising students as they reflect on their learning process, develop a pathway of study, and formulate their own areas of concentration.

- Ph.D in chemistry or related field
- College-level teaching experience in chemistry, including laboratory

Faculty membership is unranked with salary determined on a non-competitive, open scale based on earned degrees and years of relevant experience.
