Position Overview

Our client, a leading organization in the insurance industry, is seeking an experienced Cloud Developer to join their Information Technology team. This role involves supporting cloud development across the organization, creating data solutions for business use cases, and participating in solution design discussions using a cloud-based architecture. Candidates with a background in the insurance industry will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on various projects to create data-driven solutions using cloud technologies.
  • Participate in solution and design discussions with a focus on Azure cloud-based architecture .
  • Provide technical expertise across all phases of development, including analysis, design, and implementation of cutting-edge solutions.
  • Develop and maintain cloud-based applications using Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions , and other Azure-native tools.
  • Build and maintain CI / CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub .
  • Write and execute unit, integration, and system tests using tools like Postman and Fiddler .
  • Work with backend databases and queuing technologies, including SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Communicate effectively with customer stakeholders to ensure solutions meet business requirements.

Technical Skills

Must-Have :

  • Working knowledge of Azure platform and cloud-native technologies.
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure SQL Database, SQL , and Databricks .
  • 3 years of programming experience with JavaScript .
  • 2 years of experience developing using Azure tools and writing automated tests.
  • Hands-on experience with CI / CD tools such as Azure DevOps and GitHub .
  • Strong knowledge of backend databases (relational and NoSQL) and queuing technologies.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal management oversight.

    • Preferred :

  • Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Azure Active Directory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Storage, Azure API Management, SharePoint , and Okta .
  • Certifications such as Azure Fundamentals or Azure Developer Associate .

    • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Information Technology.
  • Proven ability to develop solutions within Agile / SCRUM methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams and stakeholders.

    • Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with the insurance industry and its unique technical requirements.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in cloud development and architecture.
