We are currently hiring for the Express located on the Vandenberg Space Force Base. The Army & Air Force Exchange Service serves our military service members and their families. While we are located on base, there is no military affiliation required to work with our company.

As a Customer Experience Associate in Softlines you will assist customers by identifying their needs and helping them find the perfect outfit, makeup, or piece of jewelry for every-day looks and special occasions.

Our guests are looking for high-quality, better-for-you products and a personalized shopping experience that helps them feel welcomed and inspired. As a Softlines team member, your knowledge and passion for the business will come to life in the beauty and fashion aisles while you educate and actively engage with customers. · Greet every customer with eye contact and smile in your authentic way

· Acknowledge every waiting customer as soon as they arrive to the Softlines department to let them know you’ll be right with them

· Listen to customer needs; ask appropriate follow-up questions to ensure you offer appropriate recommendations that meet the specific need of the customer

· Ensure customers have an extraordinary experience while shopping for fashion and beauty products

· Complete transactions accurately and efficiently while engaging customers in appropriate conversation

Job Qualifications

· Able to learn and adapt to current technology needs

· Able to think quickly on the spot to answer customer questions

· Able to maintain high level of decorum when assisting customers

Additional Qualifications/Requirements:

· Excellent attention to detail

· Willing to cross-train and work in other areas of the store, as needed

· Must possess a welcoming and helpful attitude toward customers and other team members

· Cash handling experience preferred

· Excellent communication skills

· Basic computer skills

· Retail experience preferred

This is a regular part time position. Weekly hours are approximately 34 hours per week. Must be available to work mornings, evening, weekends, and may be required to work an occasional holiday.

The following is an example of a possible schedule for this position. Scheduled days, hours, and times are subject to change.

Monday - 10:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Tuesday - 10:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Wednesday - 10:30 AM - 6:00 PM
Thursday - 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Friday - 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Saturday - Off
Sunday - Off

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.81 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 34 per week
