The Exercise Coach, a hi-tech fitness and health studio, is adding an Exercise Coach / Strength / Stretch / Personal Trainer in the Grand Rapids studio.
Personal fitness experience is required and
- training for The Exercise Coach certification will be provided. The ideal candidate is people-oriented, enjoys one-on-one conversations and relationships, and is passionate about good health. This is a growing studio and we are looking for a coach with flexible hours. The target for this position is Monday through Friday with Saturday hours available.
- All employees will receive full training in The Exercise Coach methods and technologies.

Setting us apart from the conventional health club / gym environment, The Exercise Coach is very professional and distraction-free; offering clients what would be more accurately described as science-based exercise, rather than the latest fitness craze in a crowded, intimidating environment.
The Exercise Coach specializes in one-on-one and small-group personal training using innovative, high-tech, and proprietary equipment. We specialize in overall strength training and stretching. Our clients achieve meaningful, quantitative results that matter to overall health with two, 20-minute sessions per week.
We are the ideal fitness solution for those who are busy, those who dont like the gym scene, those who are not exercise enthusiasts, those who are afraid of getting hurt, or those who have previous injuries.
Coach Responsibilities and Duties
Perform Fitness Evaluations
Coach clients in strength development
Facilitate one on one assisted stretch sessions
Demonstrate Proper Exercise Instruction
Provide Ongoing Health and Fitness Education
Track Client Progress
Lead Follow Up
Facilitate Consultations
Qualifications :
Passion for Health & Fitness : This is where it all begins!
Good Communication Skills : You must be comfortable conversing in-person and on the phone, know how to conduct yourself professionally, and deliver clear instructions to the clients.
People skills and personality : You must LOVE working with people! This is an exciting studio and you must be able to show your clients energy and excitement while working with them.
Education :
BS in Exercise Science and / or Kinesiology, preferred
AED CPR certification, required
Compensation :
Base hourly rate plus bonus opportunity
Paid for worked hours - not just training sessions
