Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Studio Manager/Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our studio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a positive experience for both clients and staff while driving sales and managing studio operations effectively. This role will combine hands-on coaching of clients with managing daily studio functions, scheduling, staff development, and delivering exceptional client experiences. Fitness Coaching Responsibilities
- Conduct fitness evaluations and consultations
- Deliver one-on-one and small group training sessions (2–4 clients)
- Educate clients on exercise techniques and demonstrate equipment use
- Monitor clients progress using studio technology and adapt training plans
- Provide clients guidance on health topics including nutrition, weight control, and lifestyle habits
- Teach proper breathing techniques during physical exertion
- Ensure safety, professionalism, and proper client form at all times
Operational & Managerial Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily studio operations to ensure a smooth and effective environment.
- Supervise, train, and support studio staff and coaches.
- Manage studio schedules, staffing, and coverage.
- Maintain high standards of studio cleanliness, safety, and equipment upkeep.
- Oversee client accounts, studio administrative tasks, and data entry.
- Respond promptly to client communications (email, phone, text)
- Implement effective marketing strategies to promote studio services and increase client engagement.
- Monitor budgets and financial performance to ensure profitability.
- Maintain phone etiquette when communicating with clients, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to create a welcoming atmosphere for clients.
- Act as a brand ambassador and build community relationships to promote the studio.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma (required); Degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field a plus
- AED/CPR certified (or willing to certify before starting)
- Leadership experience in a fitness, wellness, or service-based environment (preferred)
- Passion for fitness and helping others succeed
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive problem-solver with strong organizational abilities
- Positive attitude, professionalism, and team-first mindset
- Ability to sell and market services creatively to attract new clients.
