What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fitness Coach position at The Exercise Coach?
The Exercise Coach – Columbia is seeking an Exercise Coach/Personal Trainer to deliver one-on-one and small group exercise instruction. Duties include leading individual and small-group exercise sessions, tracking fitness results for clients, and working with a team of fellow coaches to motivate and educate a broad range of clients.
No experience needed as all employees receive full training in The Exercise Coach methods and technologies prior to starting. Ideal candidate is people-oriented, detail-oriented, enjoys one-on-one conversation and relationships, and passionate about good health.
There is one position with approx. 3-20 hours per week (Flexibility around 3-6pm). There may be potential for broader hours over summer.
Qualifications:
- CPR certified helpful (this will be required at your expense)
- No experience required
- Knowledge in physiology, body mechanics, and anatomy is helpful
- Above average customer service, communication, empathy toward clients, time management, and being punctual every time is required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct personalized fitness assessments to determine client goals and needs.
- Design and implement tailored training programs based on individual capabilities and anatomy knowledge.
- Educate clients on body mechanics and physiology to enhance their understanding of fitness.
- Provide guidance and support during workouts to ensure safety and effectiveness.
- Maintain CPR certification and adhere to safety protocols in all training sessions.
- Foster a motivating environment to encourage client engagement and progress.
