What are the responsibilities and job description for the Escape Room Character Guide position at The Exit Games?
We are a small, family-owned escape room business with a tight-knit team looking for exceptionally enthusiastic and energetic individuals to join our work family as a host for our top-rated escape room experiences. We are looking for team members that display a clear passion for their role and are looking to grow with us for many years to come!
What type of individual are we looking for?
- EXTREMELY outgoing with exceptional interpersonal skills
- Must be 18 years or older
- 2 or more years of customer service experience
- Experienced escape room players (preferred)
- Theater and/or performance experience required
- Individuals seeking a permanent position. Must be living in the Tampa Bay area to be considered
- Must have strong problem-solving skills/Must be able to react quickly to potential issues that may arise
- Must have availability beginning at 12:30 PM on weekdays and full availability on weekend [REQUIRED]
- Must be available to work school/holiday breaks (if student)
- Must have your own vehicle and valid Driver's License
Responsibilities
- Greeting and conversing with guests
- Providing room narratives and ensuring that guests are aware of the overall goal of the room
- Performing in-game character roles throughout gameplay - audition may be required
- "Game Mastering" (or monitoring) escape room experiences while administering clues to guests
- Resetting of rooms
- General housekeeping/Light cleaning of lobby, office, and bathroom areas
- Answering phone calls and accepting bookings
- Accepting payments via walk-ins or over the phone
