Specializing in residential and commercial exterior painting, we also offer services such as wood replacement, exterior washing, gutter installation, gutter guards, new siding, and more.
Job Description:
We are seeking a self motivated, experienced Color Consultant who will be responsible for collaborating with clients to help them select the perfect color for their home’s exterior. The Exterior Painters offers a free 2-hour color consultation to all of our clients as part of our exterior painting service. You will be meeting with clients at their home and most of the consultation is performed outdoors. The Exterior Painters is a seasonal business and does the majority of its business from April to November.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate one on one with clients to help them select colors based on their preferences and needs.
- Create and recommend color palettes for residential home exteriors using your understanding and application of color theory
- Use knowledge of exterior surfaces and exterior coating brands/types/sheens to recommend the correct exterior coating for a project.
- Proactively communicate with clients using outstanding phone and email etiquette always.
- Must be professional and have a positive attitude at all times.
- Create photo mark ups for paint crews, and collaborate with sales team and production dept. for color placement as needed.
- Company car provided for client meetings.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or other related fields
- Previous experience in interior design or other related fields
- Customer service skills, including problem-solving and handling customer complaints
- 4 year college degree preferred, with focus in art and design
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Ability to customize advice to each individual case is crucial
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as a team member
- Valid Driver’s License
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic to mid-level computer skills required
