What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmic Technician position at The Eye Associates of Michigan?
Looking to fill a full-time Ophthalmic Tech position at a private ophthalmology practice with locations in Grand Blanc and Fenton. Experience preferred, but will train the right candidate. Full-time is 32 hours per week. Monday and Tuesday at the Grand Blanc location. Wednesday and Friday at the Fenton location. Hours are 8am-5pm or 7:30am-4:30pm. Starting pay negotiable depending on experience. The right candidate will have excellent communication, patient care, be able to multi-task, be dependable and have an eye for detail. It is also necessary to have proficient typing and computer skills
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Patient history and work up for the doctor, diagnostic testing, patient education, chart documentation. History and work up include HPI, PMH, visual acuity, intraocular pressure, refraction, dilation and other additional tests.
