Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including clinics and specialized departments such as dermatology and pediatrics. This position requires a strong commitment to patient service and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
  • Perform basic life support and emergency procedures as needed.
  • Administer medications and manage medication schedules for patients.
  • Document patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately.
  • Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and calming anxieties.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic or treatment area.
  • Manage patient flow, and ensure timely service delivery.
  • Support the healthcare team in providing care to geriatric patients as well as those in the PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit).

Requirements

  • Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent training is preferred.
  • Experience in an outpatient clinic or inpatient setting is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with ophthalmology practices is a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic life support techniques is required.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to provide excellent patient service.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including geriatrics.
  • Proficiency in medication administration protocols.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures within the medical surgical field.

Job Types: Part-time, PRN

Pay: $18.00 - $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
