United Security Services is currently seeking a Director of Security to join our team in the Chicagoland Area.
The Director of Security is responsible for overseeing and managing the safety and security operations within an organization. Their main objective is to protect the company's assets, employees, and guests through effective security programs, risk assessments, and team management.
The ideal candidate will be flexible in terms of shifts, as they will range between AM and PM hours as required by our client.

Job Responsibilities :
- Develop and Implement Security Policies : Create and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure a safe environment.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation : Conduct regular risk assessments, identify potential security threats, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Team Management : Oversee the security team, which may include training, scheduling, and performance management to ensure efficient and responsive security operations.
- Crisis Management and Emergency Response : Establish and execute emergency response plans, managing responses to incidents such as fire, theft, or natural disasters.
- Collaboration with Law Enforcement : Maintain relationships with local law enforcement and emergency services, ensuring coordination during incidents.
- Security Technology Oversight : Manage and maintain security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control, and alarm systems.
- Compliance and Reporting : Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Report security incidents and maintain detailed records.
- Budget Management : Plan and manage the security department's budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
