What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard (Seasonal) position at The Falls Tennis & Athletic Club?
The Falls Tennis & Athletic Club is looking for a Lifeguard for our pool for the remainder of our season through October 1.
Responsibilities
- Greet visitors and answer any questions about the facility and services provided.
- Monitor lifeguard positions to ensure they are up to date on their required duties and that they are protected from all hazards.
- Provide assistance to residents and visitors by providing information, assistance, or referrals.
- Perform daily inspections of water activities and lifeguarding duties, including monitoring the area for injuries, illness, or other safety concerns.
- Maintain records of incidents and accidents in the area and report them to the department head or management.

- Cleaning pool areas and keeping the pool area in good repair by washing windows, vacuuming sand/gravel, mopping as needed, etc.
Skills
- Knowledge of health and safety guidelines for swimming areas such as pools, spas, hot tubs, etc.
- Certified in Lifeguard, CPR, and first aid skills
- Knowledge of how to respond in emergency situations such as fire, flood, lightning or earthquake situations.
- Knowledge of how to respond in emergency situations such as heart attack or respiratory illness situations.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $9.00 - $10.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- After school
- Evening shift
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Lubbock, TX 79424: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
- Lifeguard: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification (Required)
