What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at The Family Health Center?
We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting physicians and other healthcare professionals in providing patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Obtain vital signs and medical history from patients
- Administer injections and medications as directed by the physician
- Perform basic laboratory tests and procedures
- Assist with patient education and counseling
- Perform X-Rays as needed
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution is optional
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant is optional
- Willing to train if not currently certified. Any health care experience would be welcome. - Will pay for online MA training course would allow CMA testing.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
