What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Coordinator (Bilingual - Spanish) position at The Family Nurturing Center?
POSITION SUMMARY: The Intake Coordinator will provide a therapeutic and inviting intake (gathering information to assess what the needs of the client are) and enrollment experience to support families in accessing FNC services. This position best filled by someone with lived experience in recovery from substance use disorder and someone that has experience accessing local resources and navigating complex systems. FNC programs strengthen families through the development of Protective Factors, which reduce the risk of child abuse and neglect and support effective parenting in at-risk populations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· First point of contact for families coming to our family center
· Completes intakes and enrolls families in desired programs
· Communication with families and community agencies
· Manages the waitlist for families waiting for full enrollment in FNC services
· Manages ingoing/outgoing UNITEUS referrals
· Attends trainings, group meetings and supervision
· Answer phones, responds to emails and complete general data entry duties
· Organizes clothing and diapers in clothing closet
· Supports volunteers in the family center
· Utilizes multiple software systems
· Other Duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Fluent Spanish Speaker (REQUIRED)
·A minimum of two years in recovery from Substance Use Disorder (REQUIRED)
· Certified Recovery Mentor/Peer Support Specialist (can be obtained within 60 days of hire)
· Experience navigating complex systems (child welfare, self-sufficiency, justice System, etc.)
· Valid Oregon and unrestricted driver's license, proof of auto insurance, and a safe driving record
· Reliable personal transportation
· Current First Aid/CPR Card (within 30 days of employment)
· Current Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect
· QMHA Qualified (preferred)

PHSYICAL REQUIREMENTS:
· Ability to physically interact with children ages birth through five years, including bending, getting down and up off the floor, lifting up to 40 pounds, and managing sudden movements
· Sitting, standing, driving
· Vision and hearing within normal range (with or without corrections)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.89 - $21.41 per hour
