The Family Partnership was founded in 1878 as the Minneapolis Humane Society to protect and serve children that were being abused or exploited. Wages and Benefits

$23.00 - $25.00 per hour; $1,000 hiring bonus after 3 months of employment; Generous paid time off, plus 10 paid holidays; competitive health, dental, and vision insurance; health savings account (HSA), and options for flexible spending accounts (FSA). There is employer paid basic life insurance with the option for additional coverage paid by the employee. The employer pays for Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) and short and long-term disability insurance. TFP sponsors a retirement plan with a tiered vesting schedule based on years of service, plus a 2% employer contribution after one year of service.


A Typical Day in the Life…

A typical day as The Family Partnership’s Intake and Credentialing Specialist provides an opportunity to support the Behavioral Health Team by ensuring the efficient operation of our clinic. Responsibilities and will include the following:

  • Scheduling appointments, including intakes, resolving scheduling conflicts, maintaining waitlists for therapists, and managing calendars.
  • Inputting client information into the Procentive system in a timely manner.
  • Obtaining client/participant information to provide services or make referrals.
  • Receiving service or program fees.
  • Sending and receiving faxes regarding medical records.
  • Creating and/or completing forms/documents for therapists and/or clients, including credentialing, authorizations, and billing.
  • Proactively resolving issues and finding solutions to meet agency needs for staff and clients.
  • Managing the credentialing process for all therapists.
  • Serving as the point of contact for providers and answering any questions about the credentialing/privileging process.
  • Tracking and maintaining an up-to-date database of provider credentials, licenses, certifications, training, etc.
  • Assisting providers in enrolling with various insurance networks and health plans.
  • Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations regarding provider credentialing, privileging, and licensing.
  • Submitting necessary credentialing applications and information to process internal and external (hospital, payor) privileges or affiliations.
  • Maintaining confidential records and data, including but not limited to sensitive security information, personnel contact information, background check information, and employer information.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of the Electronic Health Records system, Procentive.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely data entry in all databases.

Who You Are

  • You have a High School diploma/GED.
  • You have three years of administrative work experience with preferred experience of one year in a clinical setting.
  • You have the ability to speak Spanish, which is highly desired due to the population we serve.
  • You possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • You have excellent customer service skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and solve problems.
  • You manage your time effectively with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and stay organized.
  • You are highly detail oriented.
  • You have the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team, with limited supervision.
  • You are adaptable with the ability to be flexible in responding to changing priorities and emerging needs.
  • You have the ability to maintain client confidentiality.
  • You have broad knowledge of office functions and equipment (fax, printer, scanner, etc.) and have advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • You are resourceful with the ability to acquire knowledge of community resources.
  • You have a valid driver’s license, access to reliable transportation, and meet TFP’s driving record requirements. If your license was not issued in the state of Minnesota, you apply for your Minnesota driver's license or permit within 60 days after becoming a Minnesota resident (not applicable for new hires living out of state).
