Primary Responsibilities:
- Schedules in-person intakes and assessments to assist and guide clients in determining their needs and options for getting needs met.
- Provides in-person and telephone crisis intervention services as needed.
- Facilitates psychoeducation, parenting, and life skills groups for victims of domestic violence.
- Facilitates client's financial empowerment, including providing guidance on budgeting, managing bills, planning for savings, debt reduction, and credit rehabilitation.
- Provides ongoing case management and housing-related assistance to victims of domestic violence for assigned caseload.
- Maintains up-to-date information and knowledge of the available community resources.
- Maintains accurate and confidential records on each client for assigned caseload in the Clients First database and other necessary locations, (progress notes, reports, and other required forms).
- Represents The Family Place and participates in community education as requested.
- Participates in agency-related domestic violence-related training programs, housing seminars, and workshops to maintain professional knowledge.
- Meets regularly with the supervisor as arranged.
- Provides reports and/or accurate statistical information in a timely manner.
- Routinely maintains utilization performance of 50%.
- Works as a member of a team to ensure appropriate case management for assigned caseload.
- Maintains work schedule as required by program needs with adequate flexibility.
- Attends agency staff meetings.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Working Environment:
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as stooping, reaching, bending, and climbing to interact with clients including children with the ability to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.
- Duties are usually performed seated with occasional periods of standing or walking. Work may be performed but is not limited to an office environment.
- Ability to drive a personal vehicle.
- Work must be performed in the agency office.
