Job Description:
The Development Manager serves as a key member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Development Manager is responsible for the execution, support, evaluation, and expansion of Family Resource Network’s (FRN) fundraising and donor cultivation programs. This position builds fundraising and donor pipelines, manages communications and events to raise awareness of FRN’s mission, effectively shares the stories of FRN and the individuals we help through our various programs, and, most importantly, identifies, builds and cultivates individual donor pipelines through direct outreach, solicitation and communication.
Areas of Responsibility: |
- Develop and implement a multifaceted fundraising strategy and program in collaboration with the senior leadership team to maximize short-term and long-term donations.
- Directly solicit individual and major gift prospects, creating and cultivating relationships in order to raise funds to support operational needs.
- Instill a culture of philanthropy among FRN’s stakeholders.
- Oversee the cultivation and acquisition of major gifts, including building relationships, developing profiles, and engaging and personally soliciting donors. Optimize how FRN engages with corporate and individual contributors.
- Create opportunities for the CEO & Board members to meet new, qualified potential donors.
- Research, develop and submit corporate and foundation proposals.
- Work with the Special Events Manager to ensure that fundraising events are analyzed, prioritized, and meet their stated goals.
- Effectively communicate FRN’s case for support to all potential donors (individuals, foundations, corporations and government officials).
- Create a strategy around marketing and social media, ensuring integrated communications to advance FRN’s brand identity, broaden and increase the visibility of its programs and build a strong public voice.
- Manage, develop and serve as the point person for all Development-related marketing, communications, graphics, and online media materials.
- Utilize ethical standards and adhere to all applicable laws and regulations related to charitable giving and fundraising.

Position Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Experience:
- At least 3 years of fundraising experience, preferably in a non-profit environment; proven track record of soliciting and securing annual giving, major gifts and executing major fundraising events.

Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
