About Farm and Forge Club:The Farm and Forge Club is a high-level athletic sports academy dedicated to fostering academic and athletic excellence. We serve students from kindergarten through 12th grade enrolled in an online curriculum, and we are committed to providing personalized, high-quality education in a dynamic, sports-oriented environment.
Position Overview:We are seeking a passionate and experienced Science Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will deliver personalized Science instruction to students (K-12) enrolled in an online curriculum. This role requires the ability to tutor across all K-12 science subjects—including biology, earth sciences, and other disciplines—with a special emphasis on ensuring mastery in both Physics and Chemistry. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with a small team of educators to tailor instruction that meets the unique needs of our student-athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver personalized Science instruction across all K-12 science subjects, with particular focus on Physics and Chemistry.
- Conduct small group and one-on-one tutoring sessions to ensure a thorough understanding of scientific concepts.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and the academic needs of student-athletes.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing ongoing feedback and adapting instruction as needed.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create an integrated academic-athletic environment.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and staff regarding academic progress and addressing concerns.
- Engage in professional development to stay current with educational best practices and technological advancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Valid teaching certification/license in Science (or the ability to obtain certification).
- Proven experience teaching Science to K-12 students, with a strong background in individualized instruction and a demonstrated ability to tutor in all K-12 science subjects, including Physics and Chemistry.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic academic environment.
- Passion for working with student-athletes and understanding their unique academic and athletic needs.
