Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. **Starting pay is $13/hour plus tips**
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently using Aloha POS or similar systems.
- Provide guests with menus and inform them of daily specials or promotions.
- Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area to enhance the guest experience.
- Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring high levels of customer service.
- Collaborate with waitstaff and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
- Assist in managing waitlists during busy periods, communicating estimated wait times to guests.
- Uphold phone etiquette when answering calls for reservations or inquiries about the restaurant.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in guest services or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on enhancing guest relations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn about food service operations are essential.
