Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dietary Aide Lead to join our team in a nursing home setting. The ideal candidate will be in charge of assisting the Dietary Manager with supporting the Dietary Aides and ensuring daily tasks and duties are completed. Duties
- Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the dietary department, including kitchen equipment and dining areas.
- Follow food safety protocols, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to maintain high standards of food production and presentation.
- Support residents during meal times, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction with their dining experience.
- Maintain accurate records of dietary needs and preferences for each resident.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance knowledge of dietary practices and regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dietary Aide or in a similar role within a nursing home or healthcare setting is preferred.
- Strong time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, culinary skills, and food production processes.
- Familiarity with dietary restrictions and nutritional guidelines is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
