The Father's House barista will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service. This person will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and staff, ensuring that each visit and event is a pleasant and satisfying experience.

Reports directly to the Lead Barista
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Beverage Preparation
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, including espresso drinks, drip coffee, and specialty teas.
- Operate coffee-making equipment and machinery, such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers.
- Follow recipes and procedures to ensure consistency in product quality.
Customer Service
- Greet customers warmly and provide prompt and courteous service.
- Take customer orders, answer questions about menu items, and provide recommendations based on customer preferences.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues in a professional manner.
- Process credit and debit transactions accurately using a point-of-sale (POS) system.
Store Maintenance
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including countertops, equipment, and seating areas.
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth operation.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.
Team Collaboration
- Work collaboratively with other team members/volunteers to ensure efficient service and smooth operations.
- Communicate effectively with the Lead Barista regarding inventory needs, customer feedback, and any issues that arise.
Product Knowledge
- Stay informed about the coffee and tea menu, including new products and seasonal offerings.

Experience:

- Previous experience in a barista or customer service role is preferred but not required.
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations and multitask effectively.
Physical Requirements:

Availability:
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Current Member of The Father's House.
PAY RANGE: $16.50 tips
