What You'll Do
As Accounts Payable Supervisor, you'll be responsible for all the functions of the accounts payable department including direct supervision of accounts payable staff, recommending new practices, ensuring compliance, and meeting deadlines. You'll also be responsibile for effective vendor management, implementing efficiencies and technological improvements as they become available.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Serve as administrator for Accounts Payable system - maintaining user, general ledger, and travel/expense policy settings and updating as needed to keep the database current.
- Monitor the Accounts Payable system and process to ensure that vendor invoices and payments are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist in the development and timely preparation of financial reports to enable review of metrics and key performance indicators.
- Oversee timely fiscal month-end close of Accounts Payable.
- Oversee the review of all employee expense reports and enforce compliance with Company policies.
- Review and approve non-purchase order accounts payable invoices.
- Supervise Accounts Payable team acting as the primary resource for questions and troubleshooting, fostering professional growth and development as well as progress toward individual goals, and drafting annual performance assessments.
- Provide feedback to management regarding internal and external customer input and comments, recommending enhancements to gain efficiencies.
- Prepare relevant tax related reports/forms as required.
- Oversee Canadian Accounts Payable functions and liaise with the UK Accounts Payable team, assisting with any issues or dispute resolutions that might arise.
- Provide coverage for payment processing while the Accounts Payable Manager is out.
You're a Great Fit If You Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field OR equivalent experience
- Relevant Accounts Payable experience and knowledge of Accounts Payable systems (We use Oracle).
- Supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Compensation: $65,000 to $75,000
