The Content Designer manages the design and development of training programs, curriculum, videos, and job aids for employees in both physical and digital format. This position is within the national Training team, reports directly to the Senior Vice President of Training, and is based in our Chicago headquarters.
Ideal candidates live within commuting distance to one of our locations and are able to work a hybrid schedule. Qualified remote applicants will also be considered and are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities
- Manages, designs, and develops learning solutions using adult learning practices and methods for instructor led, web-based, performance support distributed learning, or any blend of these delivery methods
- Assist with maintenance of classroom materials (PowerPoint, SnagIt, Camtasia, SCORM Modules, Classroom materials)
- Update and maintain employee intranet webpages
- Intra-departmental collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) and leadership
- Infographic design (Vimeo, PowerPoint, Vyond, SnagIt, Camtasia)
- Generate monthly and quarterly reporting to evidence productivity for curriculum department
Education & Experience Requirements:
- 4-year degree (graphic design, visual communication, or similar preferred)
- 3 years' experience in curriculum design
- 2 years' experience in project management (PMP not required)
- Knowledge of mortgage lending and/or finance industry compliance
- Demonstrable experience in designing, developing, and implementing instructional materials and solutions following defined processes to include structured courseware, job aids, and informal learning content
- Adept at consulting and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
- Experience with both ILT (Instructor-Led Training) & LMS (Learning Management System) education models preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams)
- Adobe Captivate or similar software
- Experience with MadCap Flare or similar software strongly preferred
- Experience with creation or animated how-to videos using Vyond or similar software preferred
