Duties And Responsibilities
- Generate persuasive copy in English (fluency in Spanish is a plus, too!)
- Write clear and engaging content for various platforms including websites, social media, emails, ads, blogs, and product descriptions
- Worth with the greater marketing team to create and execute campaigns that match the brand's tone and goals
- Understand and implement tone and voice nuances for various audience segmentation
- Conduct research to understand target audiences, market trends, competitors, and product offerings
- Adjust writing style based on audiences and channels
- Develop and maintain brand storytelling aligned with narratives and advertising strategies, ensuring alignment with senior leadership
- Collaborate with the marketing team on projects and campaigns (guides, flyers, email marketing, recruitment emails and job posts, social media, advertisements, and other collateral)
- Review and edit your and others' copy for accurate and consistency with brand guidelines
- Develop persuasive ad copy
- Manage and organize content within provided systems
- Rewrite text to improve clarity and readability for existing marketing
- Use SEO principles to maximize reach
- Adhere to standard copy practices
- Maintain compliance and brand standards on all marketing materials
Skills/Qualifications
- Available to work in our Chicago office on a hybrid schedule
- 3 years of proven experience in a copywriter/editor role
- Bachelor's degree required: concentration in marketing, English, Journalism or related field
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Experience with Project Management and Content Management software (Asana, Teamwork, SproutSocial, Opal, or similar)
- Strong research skills
- Creative and proactive thinker
- Collaborative spirit
- Superior time-management and organizational skills
- Must be able to proofread, edit, and write content in accordance with APA Style #OxfordCommasOrBust
- Bilingual English/Spanish fluency preferred but not required
