Machine operator's set-up, operate, and maintain RIM machinery. Responsible for performing production related work. Uses small power and manual hand tools, molds and de-flashes plastic production parts, assembles finished product and inspects product to ensure high quality.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate molding stations used to mold urethane parts
- Use fixtures for drilling, assembly, gluing, trimming, de-flashing and inspection of parts
- Use HVLP spray equipment to apply mold release and or in mold coatings
- Use fixtures for drilling, assembly, trimming, de-flashing, and inspection of parts.
- Ensure conformance to specifications.
- Segregate nonconforming parts or damaged parts to MRB area
- Measure, inspect or check parts as required
- Move palletized parts to warehouse or shipping area with hand trucks
- Record production time, quantity and scrap data on paper or into computer system
- Load and unload processing equipment.
- Follow all safety rules and ISO requirements
- Keep work areas clean and organized
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- At least one (1) year of experience working in a manufacturing or similar environment preferred
- Ability to use power tools and other hand tools
- Must be able to push/ pull, lift, and carry 50 pounds over moderate distances
- Must have good manual dexterity, eye/ hand coordination, good eyesight and normal color differentiation
- Must be able to sit, stand or stoop for extended periods on a regular periodic basis
- Must be able to follow and carry out specific instructions from line leader and/or manager
- Must be able to communicate problems, concerns and updates to supervisor or manager
- Must be able to work as a team member
- Must be detail oriented and organized
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
