Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for administering our Intensive Compliance Care service, which is an outsource service used by registered investment advisers to assist them in running their compliance program.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and oversee compliance programs to ensure adherence to applicable state laws and regulations, as well as the Investment Adviser Act of 1940.
- Conduct regular internal audits to assess the effectiveness of compliance controls and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and update compliance policies accordingly.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with various departments to provide guidance on compliance-related issues.
- Conduct training sessions for employees on compliance policies and procedures.
- Assist Chief Compliance Officer during regulatory audits or inquiries.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Proven experience in compliance management or a similar role within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of the Investment Adviser Act of 1940.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for conducting internal audits and regulatory reporting.
- Ability to communicate complex compliance concepts clearly to non-compliance staff.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in compliance management software and tools is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as Investment Adviser Certified Compliance Professional (IACCP®) or similar are a plus.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
