We’re seeking an exceptional Director of Surgical Services to lead and elevate the Surgery Department at an award-winning hospital in Northern California. This role oversees Ambulatory Surgery, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Robotic Surgery, and Cardiovascular Surgery, with a mission to enhance patient care quality, safety, and surgical efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and manage daily operations, ensuring seamless coordination across surgical teams and departments for preoperative, operative, and recovery care.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and scheduling of surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologists, and support staff, fostering a culture of excellence in patient care.
- Manage financial performance, including budgets for staffing, supplies, and equipment, to align with operational goals.
- Collaborate with hospital executives to set long-term goals, introduce new technologies, and expand departmental capabilities.
- Lead clinical, administrative, and financial initiatives to create an efficient, high-performance environment that prioritizes patient outcomes.
- Champion continuous improvement through active participation in Performance Improvement (PI) initiatives.
Qualifications
Licensure: Active and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Certifications:
- Current BLS (AHA) certification (required upon hire).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required upon hire).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (required upon hire).
- Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification (preferred).
Education: Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- 2 years of management or supervisory experience.
- 2 years of surgical nursing experience.

Compensation Range: $130,000 - $170,000 annually. Final compensation will consider factors such as experience, skills, and education.
