Position Summary:

The Project Manager II is responsible for the successful execution of bank-wide projects. This role involves collaborating with project teams, information technology, third parties, and senior management to define, plan, communicate, and implement projects effectively. Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential for success in this position

What will you do:

Accountabilities

Project Process and Execution

Lead Bank-wide projects to ensure successful innovation, development and implementation of new products, services, and approaches.

  • Manage medium to large projects within the Bank’s portfolio.
  • Accountable for end-to-end delivery of assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with project sponsors in the creation of business cases.
  • Facilitate project meetings with internal stakeholders and/or third parties.
  • Facilitate ongoing project activities to include schedule development, resource allocation, issue prioritization, risk management, and communication planning.
  • Lead timely resolution of issues, decisions, escalations, and risks. Identify and track risks and response recommendations.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies.
  • Remove barriers to success in a proactive and collaborative manner.
  • Communicate and report project progress to all levels of management and stakeholders.
  • Adhere to project process and guidelines.
  • Participate in Enterprise Project Pipeline planning processes.
  • Participate in project management process improvement discussions and recommend improvements to process and toolsets.

Stakeholder Engagement

Identify and engage those who have an interest in the outcome of the solution to determine how to collaborate and communicate with them.

  • Identify and engage project stakeholders.
  • Ensure expectations and responsibilities are clear to team members.
  • Effectively communicate and manage relationships with stakeholders.
  • Facilitate and negotiate stakeholder interactions using skills such as active listening, questioning, summarizing, and paraphrasing.
  • Tailor communication to audience.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or related field preferred. Three or more years related experience in project management, business, and/or technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience that would enable incumbent to meet accountabilities and required competencies of the position. Project Management Professional Certification is preferred.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing medium to large initiatives with high complexity, visibility, and impact.
  • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of project management standards.
  • Experience in managing projects that include both business and technical infrastructure components.
  • Proficient with project management software and tools.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient at managing stakeholder expectations at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with ability to be objective.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
