POSITION SUMMARY
This position serves primarily internal customers; however, responsibilities also include serving external customers whenever the opportunity presents itself.
This position does not involve direct day to day supervision of employees.

This position serves the market by soliciting and negotiating the purchase of dealer contracts from local dealerships. The Indirect Lender will establish and cultivate relationships with the dealers to generate new business. This position will also do consumer loans for current and walk-in customers as needed.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Attract and retain customers through various channels to generate new loan business
- Make decisions as to the purchase of indirect contracts from area dealers consistent with bank objectives and goals
- Establish and negotiate the terms under which credit will be extended, including the costs, repayment method, repayment schedule, and collateral requirements
- Approve loans up to personal lending limit
- Monitor loan repayment activities and take necessary action to collect from past due accounts
- Facilitate with maintenance of an interest rate structure and charge off/repossession
- Develop and maintain business contacts with an aggressive constant calling program on dealers and dealer Finance & Insurance staff – in person, on the phone, via text
- Assure all dealer agreements or contracts are current and operating within bank policies
- Maintain membership in organizations within the community to sustain good public relations, increase the bank’s visibility, and enhance new business opportunities
- Stay up to date on market and industry trends
- Ensure backups for the position are properly and thoroughly trained
- Attend required staff meetings
