General Manager
LOCATION: The Fishin’ Pig – Daleville
REPORTS TO: Ownership
JOB PURPOSE:
The General Manager is responsible for leading the overall performance and daily operations of The Fishin’ Pig – Daleville. This role focuses on building a high performing, service-driven team, achieving financial goals through effective cost control and revenue growth strategies, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. The GM champions company values, drives local brand presence, and fosters a culture of accountability, professionalism, and growth. Success in this role means consistently meeting or exceeding operational and financial standards while developing future leaders within the restaurant.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Represent The Fishin’ Pig proudly in the community, serving as a visible and professional ambassador of the brand.
· Build a guest-focused environment by staying visible and interactive throughout service periods.
· Lead by example to reinforce our values of hospitality, teamwork, and operational excellence.
· Set quarterly objectives for the management team and provide consistent coaching through bi-weekly one-on-one meetings.
· Conduct weekly leadership meetings to align business goals, priorities, and performance updates.
· Increase revenue through targeted local marketing efforts, events, and strategic sales initiatives.
· Drive revenue growth and manage costs to ensure The Fishin Pig meets or exceeds its profitability targets
· Maintain all audio and video equipment to ensure functionality and enhance the guest experience.
· Oversee shift operations to guarantee consistent, high-quality execution across all service periods.
· Create and manage effective staffing plans that balance labor costs and efficiency with excellent service.
· Ensure operational tools and checklists are used accurately and consistently to support daily execution.
· Address guest concerns promptly in person and respond to online feedback within 24 hours.
· Oversee administrative duties, including scheduling, inventory management, payroll reviews, and reporting accuracy.
· Always maintain a clean, welcoming, and safe environment inside and outside the restaurant.
· Lead training and development for all new hires and support ongoing learning for existing team members.
· Facilitate daily pre-shift meetings and stay engaged on the floor to support and energize the team.
· Recognize strong performance and cultivate a culture of appreciation and growth.
· Lead performance reviews and accountability for team leads and department managers (FOH/HOH).
· Manage the training program and ensure all team members in new roles receive proper training.
· Cultivate positive relationships with vendors and local business partners to support operations.
· Maintain open communication with ownership and the support team regarding key operational issues.
· Implement company initiatives effectively and uphold The Fishin Pig standards in every aspect of the business.
· Take on additional responsibilities or projects assigned by ownership or the executive team.
