Job Summary:
Ensure that records of clients in all residential programs comply with the TN Department of Children’s Services issuances as well as State and Federal licensing requirements, laws, and other regulatory and legal mandates. Prepare and submit required agency and regulatory reports in an accurate and timely manner.
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for ensuring that records of clients in all residential programs are in compliance with the TN Department of Children’s Services issuances as well as State and Federal licensing requirements, COA, laws, and other regulatory and legal mandates. This will include:
- Conduct weekly and monthly compliance checks and updates for all case managers and therapists
- Issue compliance alerts and reminders to agency staff to convey all issues and activities pertinent to each assigned client
- Ensure that residential treatment staff comply with all regulations regarding client charts
2. Compile information to be discussed in monthly PQI meetings.
3. Oversee the tracking of all serious incident reports (SIRs).
4. Serve as liaison between FCA and DCS Regional Resource units.
5. Responsible for setting up, maintaining and closing client charts and for receiving intakes.
6. Responsible for collecting and reviewing for accuracy/content the monthly progress reports of clients and for sending reports to DCS via TFACTS.
7. Prepare and submit monthly compliance reports in a timely manner.
8. All paperwork submitted by agency staff will be reviewed for quality assurance.
9. Maintain client allowance records, following DCS guidance as provided in DCS Core Standards.
10. Meet all agency-mandated training requirements within established timeframes.
11. This position may be part of ratio during business hours as needed for youth/staff ratio compliance and in ratio for emergency/crisis situations as assigned by management.
12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
· Minimum of a Bachelors degree from an accredited school
· Minimum of three (3) years of practice experience
Physical Requirements:
· (BFOQ) Ability to participate in all facets of Handle with Care restraint training as required
· Must be able to perform CPR/First Aid processes
· Ability to communicate clearly in English both written and verbal
· Good visual & audio capabilities
· Sit or stand for extended periods
· Bend, stoop, and/or squat
· PC/Keyboarding abilities
· Lift up to 40 pounds
· Work extended hours as needed (>40 per week)
