Role Summary
Your role in the company will be to assist various departments in a warehouse setting and to support the company vision. This position on our team is vital to the success of our DIY construction parties and design weddings. This role will focus on fully preparing the warehouse in all aspects daily and weekly along with hosting and leading DIY construction parties weekly. You will perform functions relating to verifying floral product deliveries, inventory checks, verifying product quality, processing floral products, stocking, organizing, preparing tables for construction, cleanliness of warehouse environment, creating a welcoming DIY space, coaching DIY construction parties, assisting with pickups and deliveries of weddings, etc. Additionally, customer service will be a large part of this position as the latter portion of the week is very heavily focused on the construction parties and weddings of that weekend.
Please inform us of your availability. This role is full-time Tuesday - Saturday with a rotational Sunday shift (1 hour).
Responsibilities Included (but are not limited to):
Unloading trucks with weekly product deliveries
Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse space
Creating a warm and inviting warehouse environment for our customers
Preparing kits and supplies weekly and monthly for DIY construction parties
Coaching weekly in DIY construction parties on Thursdays and Fridays
Assisting with design work and teach design classes as needed
Performing and handle all wedding pickups, deliveries and setups on weekends (rotational Sunday pickups)
Educate clients on proper floral care and construction techniques
Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate needs of the company
Reports directly to the wedding department management team
Qualifications
High school diploma or higher education preferred, but not required
Excellent customer service, written and verbal communication skills
Friendly disposition and strong commitment to upholding company standards
Outstanding problem solving and organizational skills
Capacity for semi flexible schedule to meet the needs of the company
Attention to detail and accuracy
Floral Design is a plus, but not required
Works effectively and efficiently independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working in an warehouse environment
Able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
Capability to stand/walk and work on feet a minimum of 8-10 hours at a time
Sometimes required to work in cooler at temperatures around 38 degrees
