Title : Hand Roll Prep Tech | Reports to : Hand Roll Manager | Location : Redland, FL
Job Responsibilities :
The hand roll prep technician is responsible for preparing all necessary supplies for the hand rolling technicians. This role involves tasks related to preparing and sorting materials, packaging pre-rolls, ensuring product consistency, quality, and compliance with regulations.
Organizing all tools and products needed for each batch.
Preparing and grinding all materials that will be used by the hand rollers.
Track and document loss of product through the grinding process; it is crucial that all
product is accounted for through each batch.
Sanitizing the grinder between strains and avoiding any cross contamination.
Conducting moisture tests on upcoming strains and determining rollability.
Sizing filters to desired size.
Operating machinery as needed.
Potential to assist in the manufacturing of pre-roll or hand-roll products.
Folding paper filters to be used as inserts.
General sanitation of grinding station and department areas.
Maintaining an organized and sterile work environment.
Ensuring a maintained workflow from prep through manufacturing.
Must be able to lift 50lbs as well as : sit, stand, bend, kneel or perform physical tasks as
needed for extended periods of time.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent
Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Previous experience in cannabis production, pre-roll production, or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of cannabis regulations and compliance requirements in the relevant jurisdiction preferred.
Attention to detail and precision in pre-roll production tasks.
Basic math skills for weighing and measuring cannabis flower and materials.
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work in a regulated environment.
Working Conditions :
Work in a production facility dedicated to pre-roll production.
Exposure to cannabis flower and related equipment.
Compliance with strict security and confidentiality protocols.
May require working irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet production demands.
Adherence to all relevant cannabis regulations and safety guidelines.
Starting Wage : $18.00 per hour (with potential for overtime). The Flowery offers yearly (or performance based) evaluations per the company's discretion. All full-time employees automatically qualify for benefits, PTO & Paid Holidays after their probationary period; which is 30 days. Starting wages are determined by several factors including experience.
