As a Crew Leader, you will be responsible for guiding your team through various tasks while maintaining high standards of work.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of construction workers on-site, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Coordinate daily activities, assign tasks, and provide direction to crew members.
- Conduct regular safety meetings to promote OSHA compliance and maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitor project progress and quality control measures to ensure that all work meets industry standards.
- Utilize construction management software such as Primavera and HeavyBid for project scheduling and estimating.
- Interpret schematics and technical drawings to guide construction activities effectively.
- Perform inspections using tools such as ohmmeters to ensure equipment functionality and safety.
- Collaborate with project managers to communicate updates, challenges, and resource needs.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating practices.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in project scheduling software such as Primavera or HeavyBid.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics accurately.
- Experience with pipeline construction is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate team members.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
