Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests promptly with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings.
- Take accurate orders and relay them to the kitchen staff using OpenTable or other systems.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Serve food and beverages efficiently while ensuring presentation meets restaurant standards.
- Assist with food preparation as needed, maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly, ensuring a positive dining experience.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other servers to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with culinary practices and food preparation techniques is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with guests and team members.
- Experience with upselling techniques to enhance guest satisfaction is a plus.
- A background in hospitality or the food industry will be beneficial for success in this role.
