Established in 1865, we currently have 7 locations in the following communities: Vandalia, Patoka, Ramsey, Greenville, & Mulberry Grove. We have a Teller I position available at our Main Vandalia branch.
Job Description
POSITION: Teller I

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Teller I is a position that effectively welcomes customers and performs various duties related to the processing of customer transactions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Exhibit the core values of the FNB—Trust, Commitment, Excellent Customer Service, and Professionalism
- Be customer service driven and respond to all customer requests with tact, diplomacy, and a sense of urgency
- Serve customers at a teller window by processing a variety of transactions using their own judgment within narrow limits
- Balance cash drawer daily with a high level of accuracy and within the guidelines outlined in the Teller Balancing Policy
- Answer and direct phone calls
- Can perform additional duties, such as balancing accounts, the vault, and assisting the supervisor in tasks
- Can explain bank services and account types to customers
- Maintain proficiency on current software and required online sites
- Able to keep an organized and clean work area
- Review and comply with all state and federal regulations and FNB policies and procedures
- Represent the bank in a manner that maintains and expands positive relations with customers, potential customers, and coworkers
- Display a professional image through appearance and behavior
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Performs other duties as assigned

FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to perform all basic teller functions
- Selling License Stickers
- Process Cashier’s Checks and Money Orders
- Process Cash Advances
- Assist in daily vault balancing
- Ability to perform opening and closing procedures
- Possess skills to handle difficult customer interactions and resolve issues effectively
- Advanced ability to navigate core systems
- Ability to navigate in our research system
- Ability to assist in training help for Teller Trainees
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Handling routine transactions like deposits and withdrawals and checking cash independently.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Work will occasionally be done outside in all weather conditions.
