Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen. This position is essential for supporting our culinary staff and ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized, contributing to the overall success of our food service operations.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, pots, pans, and utensils using commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, ensuring that all items are stored properly after cleaning.
• Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including peeling vegetables and preparing ingredients for cooks.
• Help maintain cleanliness in the kitchen by sweeping floors, disposing of trash, and cleaning surfaces as required.
• Follow all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation practices.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of clean dishes during peak service hours.
• Report any maintenance issues or equipment malfunctions to the kitchen manager promptly.

Experience

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with kitchen operations and culinary practices is a plus.
• Strong work ethic with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen setting.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the culinary team.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in food handling practices.
